Course Description

In this episode, Michelle is joined by Jessi Andricks, MS, CCC-SLP, the host of the “SLP Stress Management Podcast” to discuss the beautiful intersection of mindfulness and being an SLP. The pandemic has caused all of us to stress the last few months and this upcoming holiday season is sure to be unlike any other. So, how do we maintain balance and go about juggling this time of year while still being “present” and “engaged” for our patients and our family, and our fur babies? That’s a great question? And the answer centers around the practice of “mindfulness”, for which Jessi is a subject matter expert. So if you’re feeling tangled up like the ball of exterior lights and ornament hangers, then this is the episode to unwind with!

Objective

By the end of this PodCourse, participants will be able to identify and describe:

  • What mindfulness is.
  • How we can use mindfulness to reduce stress heading into our holiday break/season.
  • How we can use mindfulness to reduce the stress we feel at the end of the break, when facing heading back to work.
