Course Description

In this episode, Michelle has a frank conversation with Stephanie Schank regarding student clinician fears and anxiety disorders that are more than a “Millennial thang”.  Discover how real-life heartbreak can lead to a powerful place of healing and serve as an inspiration to clinical supervisors to educate our students with compassion and patience.

Objective

By the end of this PodCourse, participants will be able to identify and describe:

  • 3 ways a supervisor can support their student clinicians grow professionally.
  • 3 possible practicum locations and 1 unique supervisor support per location.    
  • 3 components of anxiety support for student clinicians.

Stephanie Schank received her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences with and minor in Special Education, and finished up her last semester of her Master’s degree in Speech Pathology at the University of South Carolina. She completed her final student externship at MUSC as a part of their highly respected craniofacial team and started her CF in pediatric home health in Myrtle Beach, SC this fall.
